About us

The company Luetke Modellbahn was founded in 2004, at the suggestion of some model railroaders. As architectural model makers we have been producing only one-offs for many years. Now also the railway modeller can purchase modern and contemporary buildings as kits, that pervioulsy weren't available in the hobby section. Meanwhile, our product range includes more than 1500 architecture kits. In 2010 we added building materials and milled polystyrene profiles for the creative self-builder to our programm.

The planning of the manufacturing is based on real models. We also use our longstanding planning activity as architects and interior designers for the implementation of own designs to our model kits. We put great emphasis on architectural scale. Buildings in the larger scales Ho, lane 1 and lane G are occasionally reduced in their dimensions, due to the considerable space required.

The kits are produced on CNC milling and cutting plotters and a laser cutting plotter. The hereby achieved high precision guarantees excellent fitting. Similar to metal-etched parts, the pieces are cut out of the milled plates and assembled. The basic material we use, are colored polystyrene plates of various thicknesses (treated with an UV-stabilizer to ensure outdoor use) that are produced for us in Germany. Another material we work with is waterproof glued birch and beech plywood.

We manufacture all components in our own workshop and obtain additional modelparts preferred by German manufactures. Despite quality control we can not exclued the possibilty that a false kit is sent out.

A quick phone call, letter or fax is sufficient and we supply the missing or defective part as soon as possible. The proximity to our customers and our interest in thier satisfaction, makes this serivce possible. The engineering of our kits are done on modern CAD drawing programs. Comments, criticism and suggestions for new kits are welcome.

In addition to the direct sales, as well as fair sales and exhibitions, we also supply selected distributors at home and abroad.
